An auction for a good cause is a glimmer of hope in the current crisis triggered by the coronavirus. The economic situation in Mallorca is worsening from week to week, even from day to day. Meanwhile there are many families who are no longer able to provide themselves and their children with sufficient food. In general, the number of people who depend on food distribution is increasing steadily. In Cala Ratjada, too, the line for those in need is getting longer. Of course, there is no money for Christmas presents either. That touches the artist Frank Krüger very much.
Auction for a good cause
Such a situation is heart-breaking and that’s why Frank came up with something very special. He will auction two of his artworks for the social department in the Capdepera and Cala Ratjada. The artworks available are: “Toro Diego” and “Toro Raulo”.
The entire auction process will officially take place directly via the town hall. Donation receipts are also issued for all participants.
The auction date is planned for November. In the press, this event is reported in the Inselzeitung, the Mallorca Magazin and in the Ultima Hora.
Usage of proceeds
The proceeds will be used to support the children of poor families in Cala Ratjada and Capdepera. This is done either in the form of vouchers or food.
