– On the Road with Frank & Laura

New York has us back again! It’s become a tradition – our annual trip to NYC, Frank’s favorite city and our very own inspiration booster. This time, it’s a duo adventure without our daughter Lara, who’s currently studying in Málaga. We miss her, but the Big Apple has kept us busy – with art, culinary delights, and a very special addition to our Galeria: we’ve discovered a new artist whose work quite literally took our breath away. But first things first…

🎬 Day 1: Art, Currywurst & 18,000 Steps

Right after landing, we kicked things off with a highlight: meeting Nicole and Jens from @german_bratwurst! We had lunch at Wallsé and then – of course – grabbed a classic Currywurst on the go. Fueled up and energized, we explored Manhattan, tracked 18,000 steps, hunted for new art, and toasted the day with a drink at a rooftop bar. The view? Priceless. The vibe? Exactly what we love.

💼 Day 2: Business, Bikes & Bibimbap

Day two was all about art. We had an important business meeting (psst… more on that soon!) that kept us busy all afternoon. Afterwards, we hopped on city bikes and cruised through Koreatown – dinner there was a bit of a letdown this time, but hey, that’s part of the adventure. The impressions? Still incredible.

🌇 Day 3: Tears in the City That Never Sleeps

This day got to us emotionally. One of those perfect NYC days – full of sunshine, deep conversations, and encounters that touched our hearts. Sometimes it’s not just the art that moves us – sometimes it’s life itself.

🚴‍♀️ Day 4: Brooklyn Bridge & Times Square Feeling

A sporty start: biking over the Brooklyn Bridge – absolutely magical. We wandered through downtown, discovered small galleries, soaked up street art. In the evening, we dove into the lights of Times Square once more. New York, you are pure energy.

🎤 Day 5: Culture, Classics & the Big Stage

We began the day with a real New York classic: breakfast at the legendary Katz’s Delicatessen. Later, we headed to Harlem to visit the iconic Apollo Theater – an unforgettable evening. This historic venue, where legends like Ella Fitzgerald, James Brown, and Lauryn Hill were discovered, left us in awe. The energy, the vibe, the history – simply magic.

🖼️ Robena – Our New Artist at Galeria Frank Krüger

And in this very creative spirit, we found her: Robena, an artist based in Maui who transforms everyday moments into magical works of art. Her paintings exude a serenity you can’t describe – only feel.

“Robena takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary – with a sense of beauty that touches the soul.”

With a masterful sense of color, composition, and emotion, she creates artworks that breathe, speak, and stay with you. Whether it’s florals, landscapes, or quiet stillness – her art is a gentle dialogue between viewer and canvas. In a world that’s getting louder, Robena invites us to pause and reflect.

We are proud to announce: Robena is joining the Galeria Frank Krüger!
Her works will soon be on display in our galleries. Stay tuned!
