The American Dream stands for dreams, longings and a carefree life – and yet often only brings suffering, disappointment, pain and various problems with it. Of the many who have set out to achieve this dream, some have made it and others have failed or try again and again.

With his critical work of art The American Dream, Frank Krüger keeps an eye on everything connected with this wish. It quickly shows the viewer that this dream is often related to things like poor health (from fast food), too much alcohol and sometimes drugs. Exploitation, oppression and much more is also related to the America Dream.

Is it all worth it? The large three-dimensional dollar symbol is full of references to the American Dream and does not hide the downsides that definitely exist. With the dimensions 140×80 cm it is a real eye-catcher – this effect is intensified by the background lighting!
